Gravity

I always wonder about the world, the nature, the law. I love how things work. From an event, to another event. The consequence. Occurred. Related.

It's just like when I was taking my pre university study about a year and a half ago. I was listening to my physics lecturer on 'Force' topic. Quite boring at first but suddenly something caught my eyes at that time. Gravity.

"How normal human beings could standing with only two legs? Why not chairs, or tables do the same thing?" He asked.

I'm an active person for everyone's information. For freaking sure I'll answer that question if I really knew the answer, too bad I was not yet. But then someone shouted from one edge of the lecture hall.

"Gravity, sir? If there's no gravity, of course we cannot sit or stand right now." Serious?!! I was like, seriously??? The lamest answer I ever heard. Then my lecturer replied, "Almost there, it's a good point but not answering my question.".

"Center of gravity, sir?" I'm gambling an idea on the answer I guess.

"Can you explain more?"

"I can't really get the full concept, but I think it's because we, human beings can handle our own body to make the center of gravity of ourselves balance. Once the center of gravity is on the most stable position, then we can stand perfectly, isn't it?"

What do you think? Now do you ever wonder about what I've thought before? Well, I actually have the same thought since I was only in standard 3 or 8 years old on that time. Center of gravity is one of the topics in my Mathematics subject syllabus. It's so fun to see the world's architecture standing in this mother earth perfectly because it has center of gravity at it's most stable position. I do always believe on that concept.

Until one fine day, thinking about my dad as he used to take both of us, me and my little bro out with his RXZ, he always tell us to hold him tight on any corner and just move our body to the left if he's turning left or vice versa. And I couldn't figure it out why, because I saw things' stability cause by center of gravity. I couldn't figure why is something which more to the left must be kept on the left?

But I'd no idea how to find the answer until I'm form 4, or 16 years old. Newton's first law of motion. Inertia. Yes it is. Inertia is also balancing things, as things that move will keep moving in a straight line at constant linear velocity until there are external forces applied on it.

And by that time, I do understand how life works. In life, we have to follow the laws. It's obvious that we cannot follow one rule for the whole of our life. Newton's laws itself cannot be applied on everything because of the forces that acting as a resistance. So do the same with human's life, isn't it?
